it might be referencing how shougetsu was horrified by receiving that image, but also intrigued enough to look up what it was about since it was an unknown topic to him.
shougetsu being an honors student means he's studious, thus generally thirsty for knowledge, so instead of just forgetting it and moving on, he learned more about the anal pleasures of the body. kyoujima didn't know this would happen so the airdrop was an unlucky incident that could've ended badly, but it was a (pleasant?) surprise to know that instead of reacting in other ways, shougetsu started all this because of him.
but that's just a theory. this little plot device is probably just to neatly tie in the end with the beginning.
