Honestly I don't know why so many words were changed around but he calls Jin his scrawny dog not his minion which ties back to Jin calling himself a dog earlier, I feel like minion doesn't give the same weight. It's not that he wanted someone obedient but more that Jin just obeyed literally like a dog for no reason in his eyes. Saying anything else would be spoilers so I'll leave it as that.

Ok, we looked at it in different ways what's why. How I viewed it was Charin knows Jin is smarter, stronger and overall better than him but because Jin 'likes' him he obeys unconditionally. So for Charin the discarded child, whose at bottom of the barrel, not very smart this was probably the biggest ego boost he could ever recieve (remember his type of brethren have huge egos). I think cause I view Jin as more of a phycho than anything else I don't really see the problem with it, cause at the end of the day Jin was 100% just committed to his role of the idiot. Both of them are unhinged in my eyes.

honestly, that is how I see it too but the reason why everyone hates charin is cause of this too. They hate him because this self proclaimed leader willing acknowledges these faults of Jin and uses it with no consideration for the affects it has on anyone else because of his inferiority complex which also caused the death and brake down of his group just because he refused to atleast stop and consider Jin perspective on to why he didn't want to make a deal with the green hair guy.
Sorry after recent chapter I hate charin, let him die or whatever as long as he won’t bring down Jin again as he was doing for yearssss. Screw him, he doesn’t deserve him if he just wanted someone loving and obedient , not Jin for himself
