Pinkhair was the one who was getting too close to uncovering the organization Taeman, Seolho and boss work for, thus he became a target because he became a danger to them. The target assingned to Taeman was Gyu, the man with the glasses and vest. The main target was the squid gang, pinkhair is most likely the leader and Gyu is connected to said gang. If you remember the organization Taeman works for gives two warnings to groups like these. They first kill people of a lower status and if that doesn't get the message across, they kill someone high up. Which in this case happened to be Gyu. Pinkhair become an active targer after he found the elderly home for the retired killers. Killer codenamed 42 was supposed to take pinkhair out but Seolho didn't relay the info to him and tried to do the kill himself but failed. Pinkhair had already at this point figured out the organization's secret and after seeing Taeman's mom he regocnized she looked like the "storeboy" and he figured out he was the killer and that Gyu was a target.

I feel like taeman brought this on his self because the pink hair man just gave him a warning the first time he didn't really to find him after the first incident happened. Taeman was the one who found the pink hair man and attacked him. This could have all been avoided if taeman just left him alone
