Baby daddy's the yakuza

I don't say this often because I'm a dumb dense fuck most of the time but called it. I knew there was something fishy about the boss.

Now the question is, did Ririko know the father was the boss and in order to protect the child, she lied about the who the potential fathers were?

Either way, still extremely irresponsible and selfish move on Ririko's part despite the motivation.

I think she knew Sen liked Touma and it was the only way of getting them together. Yeah, she probably didn't fancy the idea of the child being part of the Yakuza world, but I don't think her thoughts about that were too deep. It was mostly the matchmaking part.

If she really does know the guy liked the other guy, it doesn't make sense why she cheated on him for the other. That's just cruel. Unless she knew after she cheated on him, but I've seen no indication of it yet (or maybe I need to reread.)

But for now, I genuinely don't think she's that kind.

In Touma's memory (I think it's ch 8?) she shows that she's totally oblivious to the fact that she and Sen were supposed to be a monogamous couple - she's used to sleeping around and she genuinely believed that Sen wouldn't mind if she went about with that lifestyle.

Ooh, I completely forgot about that detail.

But nonetheless, if she knew Sen liked Touma, I don't get why she would sleep with Touma specifically even if she thought they were in a open relationship? That feels off and cruel to Sen still.

But I do see now how one would think she's trying to matchmake them (in such an odd way) to try to make up to Sen especially.

However, I do standby the idea that she is still very irresponsible and selfish. Matchmaking aside, she still roped two unsuspecting people whom she had no contact with for quite some time with her baby affairs.

I hope I'm making sense? I apologise for the tangent.

Nah, you're making sense. I just feel that during that chapter she kinda sensed that Touma maybe liked Sen just before Sen arrived, and maybe she put two and two together after they were finished. Definitely not saying that's the case, and yeah, considering her attitude to her child, she was a very me me me person.
