Hmmm

Revisited this after 4 years and still have mixed feelings about it.

It’s not an accurate or appropriate depiction of DID at all, but it’s definitely one that put the most effort in. I just find it hard to understand the obsession with DID as a plot device. Imagine using someone with schizophrenia or BPD as the plot’s crux. It’s only because authors view it as a glorified means of “threesome but one person” type of storyline, the Jekyll and Hyde if you will.

I just wish there will come a day where this disorder is depicted more faithfully, and as a piece of fiction to help others learn of it, rather than a fetish poorly disguised as good intent.

All in all, do I like it for what it is? Sure. Do I condone or support its existence? Not really, but the author definitely tried… just didn’t try enough.
