I don't remember well but I think she knowingly drinks poison
essentially yvonne purposely puts poison in her own drink to make it seem like penelope poisoned her. however, penelope notices and decides to drink the poisoned drink instead because she wanted to die, hoping it would let her return to the real world and if not, she could at least escape the game. kalisto doesn't necessarily do anything to save her -- vinter has a healing potion on him that prevents the spread of the poison, though kalisto is the main one who worries for her while she's unconscious.
