I think they are maybe mimicking her age from historical times
So it’s comparatively more okay when the guy is the younger party as opposed to the girl?
Not really but personally it’s more triggering because of how much older men tried to prey on me when I was a teen. Hits closer to home.

Why is the age gap romance always between a high schooler and an adult ╥﹏╥ they could have easily put him in college and it wouldn’t have changed anything.
