its basically in the name, its a placeholder (a substitute) for the chapter so no one can upload over the current uploader, if that made sense. (or when the uploader only wants them to upload it, hence putting a placeholder, forbidding the others to not do so?? i dont know i cant explain im sorry.)
It is uploaded as a chapter to prevent mangago bots from taking the new chapter of a manga from another website and uploading it here. Usually because the uploader wants to upload their translation instead. So if a 'placeholder' is uploaded, the translator prevents the bot from doing that and will upload the new chapter themselves and remove the placeholder when they do so. Correct me if im wrong TT
Placeholders are like an empty chapter. When the real chapter comes out then they fill out the Placeholder with the real chapter and upload it. (Sorry if this doesn't make sense lol)
Yes. They put placeholder so the bots doesn't mess up the uploads with a bad TL like those from Lalamanga etc.. those bad TL can't be removed easily by the uploader so it's a hassle trying to contact admin to get it removed..
That's why we have so many shit TL from Lalamanga here
