the return of the crazy demon is fairly similar! overpowered mc who goes back in time, no romance, technically builds a sect and its pretty funny theres also a lot of blood and i mean a lot
If you mean similar as in 1) action genre 2) no romance/little romance/no romance for the main character so far 3) the female characters aren't written like shit and get treated fairly equally to the male characters, I've got a few. Some are set in the murim world, some are not.
Some in the murim setting would be;
- Heavenly Grand Archive's Young Master
(as of 77 chapters, there is no romance, as MC is technically a grandpa compared to the rest. I have heard there will eventually be a romantic interest way down the line with someone in similar age to him (looks young, is actually old), but nothing to worry about for now. Plus how the female characters have been written and drawn so far, I have trust that this will be written naturally and well.)
- The Terminally Ill Young Master Of The Baek Clam
(Yes, there is a romance tag, but having read the 45 chapters of the first season I can assure there has been none in sight nor has there really been a female character that has given me "FL" vibes. Again, this series is one of those that doesn't treat female characters like crap, so I have trust things will go well if/when they happen, someday.)
And the two non-murim I'd recommend:
- Life Of A Magic Academy Mage
(I've read all the current 95 chapters, no romance in sight. All about that fantasy/action/adventure/comedy. Also, doesn't write or draw female characters badly or much different compared to the male side characters.)
- I Became The Tyrant Of A Defense Game
(Tbh, in my personal opinion, out of all of these four, this one depicts women the least favourable to me, but in general it's much, much better than many other series out there. Generally they're treated similarly/same to the male characters, there are a few we've seen drawn with more revealing clothing and have yet to get male characters with similar amount of skin showing, and that does say something, but it's not as bad especially compared to series like "Pick Me Up"(literally every female character was wearing heels and/or showing clevage, stomach, and/or thigh. Ridiculous.) I've read all the current 99 chapters and can confidently tell you, there is absolutely no romance for the MC. There are hints of some romance between two side characters, but that has happened maybe three times, and only in the latter parts of those 99 chapters. The main focus is the action 100%.)
If you haven't tried any of these, I 100% recommend giving them a try. Don't be scared of romance, there has been none shown in any of these so far, and I can tell you I have faith in the authors to not make it bad if it happens in some of them. (￣∇￣")
