um so the scene I have in mind is like the mc *is hopelessly in love with his best friend, and is kind of a doormat for him, would do anything for him* the best friend is *aloof, kind, loves mc but only platonically, is liked.... could even have a girlfriend... but important that he is kind, genuine and acts platonically towards our mc*
