I still do believe that the ml's father was the one at fault, and the fl's father was just a scapegoat to avoid more scandal for the imperial family. They will soon know that it was all just a misunderstanding, and the ml will chase after the fl, and that will take just a few weeks, and the fl forgives the ml. But if, IF they take this route, I guess they will make it that Gideon turns bad and will be obsessed with the fl.
