He was so sure sooyoung was gonna keep leaning on him whenever he was in distress and that was the sole plan for his manipulation to work. Now that sooyoung doesn't wanna deal with him anymore he basically has no power over him unless he turns violent (god forbid) but I don't put it past jihwan to act unhinged to get what he wants. Let's see what the author has in store

Honestly the plot is ripe for SY to go into a transactional relationship w J, knowing it will be toxic. He has no money, both parental guardians seem to be lethally ill, plans for uni seem to have gone down the drain, etc etc.; he has fallen into J’s trap but is aware of it so he will likely try to fight his way out of it instead of being completely ignorant to it like J had intended. So I hope redemption comes for SY in finally being able to take care of himself and family, accomplish his goals and keep the fucking creepers TFO of his life for good…ya know… eventually… while J goes to a psychiatric treatment facility to get the long overdue help he needs
