they are not related the elder brother was adopted
it's not addressed explicitly in the current universe (high school), unless I missed it. but they might be full-blood brothers this time around.
it is shown in ch 60 that younger brother looking at the adoption papers and realising that they r not blood related
right, that scene only applied in that "timeline" though. the current timeline is different than that one in key ways, namely all the MCs are growing up together and are in high school together, so the idea of being adopted doesn't carry over. remember that in the ancestor storyline, they were half-brothers; it's a question that changes in each timeline. and in the current timeline, there is a scene where it's mentioned that they look alike and are brothers (gym teacher says "he's your little brother? no wonder you look alike." and the author does nothing to indicate this statement is incorrect).
forgot to add: this time around the brothers also have a different mom and are living in a different house, so it's def not a continuation of the previous timeline.
