He understands how quickly getting together with ML right after finding out the manager was getting married may make it seem like he’s not with the ML cuz he likes him, but cuz he’s lonely or using him as a distraction or replacement. He wants to show ML that he truly does like him for him and not another person. Letting go of a first love is super hard, even when you never even got together or had an opportunity, so the direction he’s going is honestly really great. Not to mention, he might be feeling limerence (not likely) which could’ve made it harder for him to let go of the manager, but from the most recent chapter, he clearly understands that it’s time to move on and be happy with someone who makes him happy and comfortable.
