DANGGGG IKR!!! and I'm so glad that he doesn't have to hold himself back from getting a higher position in his job, after Takaba said that he'll stick with Miyabi to the end.

That part really got me. Not only did he accept getting rejected, he stayed with Miyabi as long as he could. Takaba's a hero, huh? Not only to Miyabi but to Utou, as well.

so there's actually a lot of perks of them being a pair haha. Still, I wonder what is Utou in Miyabi's perspective.. In his flashback, when Utou said to Miyabi "if I was an alpha, would we be able to do that?", what does "that" actually refer to? if he referred to Miyabi's sexual activities with other alphas, then I'd have been glad that Miyabi rejected him. Cuz that would put Utou on a different place compared to other people whom Miyabi had sex with :O this is the only confusing part for me.

I asked the same question!!! Honestly, there many things I got confused about.
1) Takaba saying, "It seems like you're doing this on purpose so can you quit that?"
Huh?! Miyabi acting too girly or resisting? Though, I thought they were quite funny.
2) Utou: " It was long though but relax" WHAT?! Not sure how to interpret that.

3) That flashback
Does "that" mean 1) becoming fated pairs or 2) Miyabi's sexual activities with other alphas?

But I think I got it already, still not sure though, and this is painful. I think that flashback was when Miyabi went crazy with sex AFTER he and Tobinaga broke up, thus Utou knew the reason why Miyabi has gone crazy. It's just that Utou's question felt deep, so it was after the break up. THUS, Miyabi said "not a chance" on becoming a couple. OUCH!

Now why? Utou was good enough!! I see three reasons why Miyabi rejected Utou.
1) Miyabi thinks Utou does not deserve someone like him, Utou's too nice to be tainted by him. Though they were sex friends, being in a relationship is different.
2) Miyabi's hate is to alphas, his father is an alpha, so only an alpha can make Miyabi feel accepted.
3) Miyabi has already decided that he's closing his heart so he would never be pained by love again. I mean come on he still devastated and Utou asked him that.

1) yaas that part was funny, cuz why would Miyabi, someone who'd had it with five guys at once showed resistance? but at the end he just wanted the D as soon as possible hence the typical-tsundere act, omg this dork<3

2) I think he was just telling Takaba to relax, lest him getting jealous of Miyabi's past relationship with Utou :)

3) Really though, I need to get the timeline correct on this D: but let's just assume that the part when Utou asked him about "that" was somewhere within the time when Miyabi broke up with Tobinaga. Also, I changed my mind! will cross out the 2nd answer, considering that they were already sex buddies long before the break up.

However, I don't think it's got anything to do with Utou's orientation. Be it an alpha or beta, Miyabi had never set on having a serious relationship. He'd been living his entire life hating alphas thus using his omega body to make the alphas as his stepping stone (I still feel uncomfortable with his way of making his career progress, honestly, but it's been stated that his surroundings made him have such a mindset). I suppose, he wouldn't have had a time thinking about love, unless if at that time, there was someone who could change the way he thinks (Takaba<3).

I guess, Utou asking him if they could be a pair just added more fuel to the fire, because of the breakup (Tobinaga can just die). Out of all alphas, Tobinaga was the only alpha who Miyabi opened up to, just to have himself thrown out by the same person. At this point, how would Miyabi ever regain his trust on alphas? This just fuelled his hatred even more. And Utou even asked would they pair if he was an alpha... I could imagine Tobinaga resurfaced in Miyabi's mind D:

I'm so glad that Takaba works at the place where Miyabi works, and first conversation he had with Tobinaga (where Tobinaga talked about Miyabi's past) was also a good turning point of the story. After being told about Miyabi's past, instead of feeling repulsed about it, he became more curious of what had made Miyabi the person he was.

And I can't be the only one who's glad that Takaba didn't see Miyabi whoring himself as the only source of his powerful position in the company!!! I mean, Miyabi did say that he has 5 years of sales record after all!

Well, those reasons were all "either/or" and "maybe", I forgot to add. Personally, I think the best answer among the three I presented was that he was traumatized with love, Tobinaga's his first love, the first alpha that appreciated him and the first to break his walls, so after getting hurt, the concept of love was thrown in the trash in Miyabi's head. I believe he's heavily attracted to alphas since his father is but yeah, I don't think Utou being a beta was not the issue why Miyabi rejected him.

Yes, finally a person understanding the circumstances Miyabi is in to resort to sex for power. I got into a heated discussion when I'm simply explaining that I understand his reasons but I still condemn the act. Or that I appreciate Miyabi going against being a stereotypical omega but I don't mean I approve him whoring himself.

Yes, I think part of why Miyabi had to sell his body is because no matter how talented he is as an employee, he wouldn't get recognized because he's an omega. His ideas will not be considered if he didn't bribe his superiors and clients. It's sad to think he still needed to do that to be recognized but he was able to prove his ideas work. If his ideas are useless, no matter how many times he sleeps with the clients, his still wouldn't get approved. I believe alpha businessmen do not put all of their brains in their balls, there's still left in their skulls.

i gotta say the same thing for the things I presented too, those were all possible reasons based on my point of view. Others would have interpreted it otherwise and i'd like to see it hehe. It's such an irony that his father was one of the roots of his hatred towards alphas (his father paid more attention to his alpha brother), but apparently he was eager to impress his father and wants his attention (Miyabi gets happy just by his father being angry at him, only to see the pills being tossed at him by the father). Instead of hating his own father, he hated all the alphas that made the distance between him and his father even larger (e.g. his brother, the alpha who blamed him for being in heat, his tutor). this poor boi, protect him T.T

Haha yes, I could see the heated discussions happening so often here. But on the bright side, it's quite impressive to see a manga getting wide range of reactions (and to think that this is sensei's first omegaverse manga...)!

As for Miyabi having to sell his body, i mean cmon, in some panels of the manga we could see how he gets discriminated. Just because he's an omega who works in a company. Even with him using his assets to have people hear him out, he still gets occasional glares even by those who are from the lower position than him. I really hope that things won't get any harder for him now that he can't use sex as a source of power, I mean this might be easier said than done, but I hope that SOMEHOW with him pairing with Takaba, any matters related to his work are dealt in a better way.

OMG! Another notable insight! Hating alphas, specially THE alphas, that made the distance between Miyabi and his father even wider. Gotdamn! I always thought he was resenting his father, for neglecting him and putting him in a cage. Even when he entered the company, he's still caged in pretending to be a beta.

His father created the hole in Miyabi's life, for treating him exactly an omega, thus his father would also fill that hole. He gave Tobinaga a chance to fill it but made he made it even bigger. BUT NOT ANYMORE, YEY! The void has been filled, thanks to Takaba.

IKR?! He's already rotting himself out just to make them at least take a glance at his proposals but still every time it's a hard sell. Like freaking alphas can't you see past his gender and just evaluate his job as it is? I hope things would get better with Miyabi fated with Takaba at work. Or let's see what the Miyabi and Takaba tandem would work. With Miyabi's knowledge and experience plus Takaba's charms and being an alpha (ugh, really? sexual discrimination's too real but it's this AU's reality), I hope they can crush other departments, oh wait, except Utou's LOL.

i guess that should be the case, considering that when his father shut him out, Miyabi mentioned something about his voice not being heard.

i wonder if what's reason of Miyabi working in a firm was, aside from his father sending him under the guise of Miyabi being a beta.. Miyabi could've run away if he wanted and live a peaceful life where he doesn't have to whore himself just to have his superiors listen to him. Can it be because of the father too?

in the sequel, I'm glad to see Takaba's reunion with his mother, but I hope that Miyabi'd never see his father again :/

Ah it was his mother? I thougt it was his brother and the kids his nephew and niece. So the kids are his brother and sister?

the one sitting on the bed is his mother or omega father, whichever is fine xD cuz when Takaba met him, he said "tou-san" which means father. as for the kids I'm not sure, because in the latest raw, seems like there was another relative of Takaba (he wears spectacles) and a woman(?). That woman might be spec's wife. After the kids welcomed Takaba, they flocked around this spectacle guy so they might be spec's kids instead.

On working in a firm cuz of his father, maybe? His father is a member of the parliament. So probably this is how it went: The society knows he has two sons, he was able to keep Miyabi's gender hidden (btw, I must say he was fast, I mean the rumors when the first heat happened at school would spread like a wildfire, it looked intense, plus I think Miyabi was in an elite school) so I think people would expect to see both of his sons functioning in the society. Thus, Father needed to release Miyabi from home, so he opted him to work in a company he chose and had the power to conceal Miyabi's identity or gender, of course all for his own sake, name and position.

Oooohh, so Takaba meets omega dad. So the raws I got had missing pages nevertheless it had kids and a somewhat sad vibes at the end of ch 2. Gosh, I can't want for the dear S/T team to start on them.

Finally, saw it too. I don't exactly remember Takaba saying he had an older brother but I think he did, I think when he said my fave line that Miyabi should give himself some worth.

So both Takaba and Miyabi had brothers, though I don't think Takaba mentioned his brother's gender, though I understand why. They're all humans no need to always mention the ABO gender.

I have one problem with Sensei, though. Her characters almost all look alike, there are only slight differences that I sometimes get confused. NOPE, probably because the first link had missing chapters so I got confused.
I thought the one in bed was Miyabi so I got worried how the last chapter ended, now I get it. So nothing's happened yet (just a guess), Miyabi's just anticipating the future with pregnancy and having kids.

Oh yeah, let's not meet Miyabi's father nor his brother, I'm scared of how his brother's personality turned out, ever again. I can do with meeting his mom, sure, but no Dad or Bro.
