I don't pity him that much lol. He has a lot of shit to work on. I guess over the years when he wasn't with siwon but with his horrible father really changed him into a slight sociopathic person.
His longing and lust has built up over the years then something had set him off. now he's being a lil bitch. Lol
Plus I like the drama because it's probably the only thing that will snap him out of it. Without it he will stay like that and nothing will change. His character is already really fucked up so he probably won't realize his mistakes until he's stuck in a situation where he has to.

Rather than the backstory and what's coming, I'd be ready to like him 100 times more if he suddenly changed his attitude a little. Not just with Siwon. He has some anger issues, he has ton of things he needs to clear out in his head that makes him be such an unpleasant person (though I understand why when it comes to Donghyun that he's like that).
Let Jinha realize his mistakes and problems and work on them. Instead of all the convenient plot stuff.
I feel like the author is forcing me to pity him and it frankly irritates me.
