But in this manga Asami is more like a information broker who sells secret information, and a businessman who sells illegal stuff like drugs, guns, humans, organs, etc. to yakuza and politicians.
It can also be a sort of pun on the use of photographic fixers (chemicals) used in old fashioned photos like Aki favors.

Asami isn't a fixer. It's a misunderstanding from the title of chapter two. The title is "Fixer," which refers to the chemical. If it was in reference to an underworld figure, it would be "The Fixer." The misconception took off in fanfiction, but misconception it is.
Broker is an excellent one!. I would also throw in that Asami not only brokers information. He brokers contacts, he brings influencial people to the same table, he brokers business deals, he brokers power, he brokers connections. He proker secrets (like you said, secret info, too). I think of all the terms that have been used to describe what Asami is, I like broker the best.
