You can have a short relationship development without raping people lol, there are so many other plot devices people can use, to say that rape is essential is a huge lie because it is not and all it does is romanticize what shouldn't be romanticized.

I like some stories with rape, and some that romanticize rape--but in real life, consent is all that matters.
