I was thinking that too. Maybe mom is in on it? But the company guy who visits in chapter eight makes me think that Jessie is in charge of the company and he never got to talk with Jessie I don't think... my head hurts...
That would make sense , because if Jessies parents are dead, then he would be the president. If he would became it in normal circumstances, he would have some memories of him running the company, but maybe changing more of the memories would be too difficult or could have more side effects, then in Moritat he is the head of the company but other people are running it .
