bro you dont know the first thing on how trauma works. Comparing trauma and saying one is worse then the other helps absolutely no body. Everyone's brains are different and process traumatic events differently. Two people can go through the same even and one person is worse off then the other. You watering down Skylar's consent being breached by that fat kid is also disgusting. He trusted in his friend who he had a major crush on, only to be set up, kiss someone he did not consent to kiss, and turned into a laughing stock by that same best friend who he trusted the most out of everyone for something he cant change about himself. And then was made fun of by that same friend. For someone, that could just be something terrible that happened to them in the future and they move on quickly, but for others like Skylar that can be a extremely harrowing event that changes people completely. Both reactions are valid. You can call this yapping or whatever even tho it takes less than 10 seconds to read all of this but u cant stay ignorant
I’m a Skyrus Stan, not a cirrus nor Skylar Stan fi that makes sense— I root for both, they’re my babies figuratively. Idk why many people downgrade Skylar’s trauma as if it’s not a big deal, if it wasn’t, we wouldn’t be having these issues but in raws, we see a lot of Skylar’s trauma being trigger and his anxiety is one physical we can see. We can see it happening.
Thank you! I usually explain Cirrus’s actions, but I never justify them. Cirrus SA’ed Sky, Sky SA’ed his friend (ex friend actually), but at the end of the day, it’a their remorse that matters. Holding a grudge of their past is not really it when they’re redeemable, and when they are both struggling.
I don’t know how people act like Sky wasn’t violated when his ex friend literally set him up and was kissed by someone SKY DID NOT GIVE CONSENT TO, to his friend yes, BUT NOT THAT other dude. So it makes sense Sky has trust issues.
Sky knows Cirrus the best (besides Ri-in) so I doubt this will be dragged on, he even said that he believes Cirrus or 80% belief, but he will doubt at times due to his trauma.
What don’t people get?
“ Cirrus has trauma as well, I get that, but that’s when you seek the help of another person if you’re getting into the habit of doing something as vile as that.”
Maybe if he had better adults around him. Many times mentally ill people, especially teens, will struggle to ask for help—especially cause Cirrus also has trust issues and inferiority complex, and he dislikes being pitied. He’s so unhinged it can be scary, I really want him to get intensive therapy and Sky as well because their trauma is no small deal nor is it a competition.
Sorry for bunch of replies. I say okay I wrote everything I need to say, then I remember lol.
Last one for real. I don’t get how people villainize Sky for having something of a normal reaction after being betrayed and a trauma being formed as a result. He even s attempted.
I find it a “normal reaction” because that’s to be expected, expected to have trust issues after being lied to.
No I completely get that. It’s hard to reach out for help when no one around you is someone you feel comfortable reaching out to. Not only that, but he lives in a highly toxic environment. Still..I don’t justify his actions, but I do think they can be reasonably linked back to his trauma definitely. Actually so sad seeing the both of them struggle so much because of it, and yeah Skylar is on meds for his issues but he clearly hates them, and medicating isn’t always the answer either.
I just hope in the end they both get the help they need, actually such good written characters.
I want you to go research on what the word trauma pertains to, and how it can impact a persons life and mental state. Your statement of “had it darker” doesn’t matter, when this clearly heavily impacted sky. He was beaten for a prolonged amount of time after all of that. He shouldn’t have kissed his friend without consent, but he took that way too far. Having sky tortured and beaten- as well as violated. It definitely took its toll on him.
Cirrus had it rough too, but as someone who went through similar, I’d still never compare my trauma to another persons. Even so, I did mention that his trauma did indeed mess him up as well, just like I did for Skylar. Also, I do agree, they should be together, but I feel their main goal should be to work on themselves. Their relationship is already starting to crumble due to the circumstances.
It’s fine!:) But yes, just as they didn’t villainize Cirrus for getting handsy and pushy with Skylar- as well as having vile thoughts about him, they shouldn’t villainize Skylar for this. I do think Cirrus was wrong for that, but I know it’s due to trauma. Still, they moved on from that and seem to be doing good on that front, they are both just heavily mentally ill. Pretty sad..
Skylar’s “normal” reaction is to have trust issues just as Cirrus’ “normal” reaction is to be possessive. Not the norm at all..but it’s likely they’d have these issues all things considered.
I think u aren’t looking at the bigger picture and u will actually be proven wrong in the following chapters so I will repeat for the last time: the boys are already WORKING ON themselves! Tat the same time they can do that TOGETHER!
Also again, u haven’t answered my question: in what context do u keep using the word “violated” for Skylar Bc he wasn’t.
Okay? I guess you finally now understand that comparing their trauma is pointless then? Good for you I guess. Regardless of if they get together or not, I don’t really care either way. If they work on themselves then good.
Also YOU might need to reread.. Cirrus became pushy with Skylar, violating him with a nonconsensual kiss in front of his step mother. He was also violated by his ex friend through another person. If you insist I reread, maybe you should take your own advice.
By the way, forgot to mention in more recent chapters where Cirrus had to force himself to stop violating Skylar. Not entirely sure how Skylar felt about it, but he definitely made it clear he wanted him to stop, which was a violation. However, Cirrus did apologize for that, and more in that chapter. Either way, violations. Etc etc, I just enjoy talking about stories, no one was ever required to respond to my post. I do appreciate the back and forth speaking though.
Girl, do yourself a favor and look into a dictionary what “violation” actually means This is a nonsensical debate. And you can find the answers to ur questions if u actually RE READ the story so yeah again re read, this will be the 2nd favor u will do yourself.
And the 3rd one: you are on an OPEN board so u either grow a thicker skin or vanish from here.
Don’t need to reread a thing, like I said, I do remember. It’s you who needs to reread. (Reread chapter 82 if you wanna see where Cirrus was forcing himself on Skylar). Also.. if you’re saying I’m using “violation” wrong, how come you suggested FIRST I was referring to Skylar in the past tense? Right. No, I have used nothing wrong here other than my misspelling of the word “insane”, you’re saying I AM, when it’s clear you’re just some kid. I’m thick skinned enough, but you’re clearly too thick skulled to actually see the point. (“A violation is an action that crosses a boundary or disregards an agreement or right.” )
Therefore I’m done with this, because I actually know and can admit when I’m right or wrong. Respond, don’t respond, I won’t be responding because this “debate” is annoying at this point. You’re awful at this with your lame comebacks, or whatever they’re supposed to be.

People villainizing Skylar for having trust issues is INANSE to me. It’s as if we didn’t read the same manhwa, he has trust issues after being betrayed, violated, beaten, abused, etc. Of course his trust in Cirrus would be swayed by something like that, Cirrus went out of his way to blackmail the poor guy for taking photos. Obviously Skylar was in the wrong for this too, don’t get me wrong he’s fucked up as well. Having punched Cirrus and all, but isn’t cirrus the one that forced himself on Skylar? Cirrus has trauma as well, I get that, but that’s when you seek the help of another person if you’re getting into the habit of doing something as vile as that. Just saying.. and also, Skylar would literally have trust issues in any relationship I’m sure, that’s just how his trauma works. Did we not read the SAME segment of him having a major panic attack, throwing up and all, begging for it not to be true, he didn’t want the same thing to happen to him again. Keyword again.
Sorry for the rant, I just don’t like when people bias one specific person. It’s kinda.. weird. Then they wanna talk about “bias”. Throw the word “bias” around to back their dumb arguments and narrative, like both parties aren’t messed up and in the wrong at some point in time. Though, whatever I guess.
