The family has unhealthy relationship from the start. I think it's because of how they've put a heavy responsibility to haruto at a very young age. Being the one to shoulder all of their financial burden and asahi noticing haruto's struggle for the family (causing asahi to be distant with his parents because of this). Having a relationship like that where the child is doing all the work to provide the family for their needs, can't possibly result to them being close with each other. For me, that's not a healthy relationship to begin with.
Welp, that's from my own perspective. I honestly feel bad for haruto, being the eldest child, quitting university, and having to work day and night just to provide for the family. He always had this "goal" or "motivation" because of his parent's request, and that's the reason why he could do everything to the best of his abilities from the start. Now that this "motivation" was taken away from him, he could no longer see his own path. Going from following your parent's wishes to following what you want to do, is such a scary and a hard thing to do when you don't have any plans for yourself in the future. I feel for him being so lost when he's finding himself, because out of all the tasks out there in the world, that's the hardest thing to accomplish.
