Ok so I just finished the novel. Oh my god this story is such a ride. Heads up that the prince kind of sucks as a person, but honestly I get it? And Abel is just always a sweetheart, regardless of his form. Anyway this is absolutely kind of toxic yaoi, but Abel went to the school of “I can accept him as he is, the atrocities are a part of him” thinking, and I respect that at least I as a reader probably am not meant to like the Prince as a person because he’s still interesting to follow and he makes some insane plays
