What was the original scene?
I belive originaly the brother slapes her until she can nolonger move and shatters / breaks one of her ankels because she tries to get away. And everyone walks in on it.

i kinda hoped it went for the novel path since it wouldve given a more dramatic effect, but i also wouldnt handle seeing ruby being hurt again
