The whole story gets way too messy if u don't use ur brain to get what is happening u wont understand, also the falshbacks are way too long so it makes the current timeline story go way slower if the flashbacks were shorter. The characters are hella annoying too, but it depends in what u consider annoying
Usually ratings don't matter cuz people will rate anything they see really high

BRO It’s one of the best bl with thick plot lines, ofc people who came for smut wouldn’t be able to use their brain to understand the plot here (even though it’s actually simple but interesting) But personally I recommend you to read if you want to left something that touches you emotionally (second time i read, i couldn’t stop thinking about this manhwa for 3 days and left in a daze, and I even recommended it to 3 of my irl friends

Agree! Especially with the smut part lol there are lots of manhwas pwp but is so popular but when we have an actual plot, all they do is complain. Well personally I am tje reader type who is more of plot wise fanm
The back story is important to where the present is anyway, its long yes, but given the present time & where it stops, more or less this will be around 150+ chap? Present chap will be much longer for sure.
Yessss!!! I mean look at stories like low tide in twilight where its smut every 5 to 6 chapters and still got 9.4 rating even tho MC got r*ed, compared to that shitty ass storyline, this Eternal covenant plot is definitely god tier plot level and people still mad about the flashbacks??? like omg I am enjoying the backstory too much. It gives so much depth to their lovestory and understanding to each character personalities, Without the long flashbacks, it’s a boiled white pale chicken meal with no flavor

First time I read, I actually dropped it on chap 45 because I couldn’t understand ML obsession with MC and why second lead is so fixated on him, then while flashbacks chapters were uploading up to 90 chapters, I gave it a second chance…guess what, Now I am listening to Eternal covenant playlist made by one fan on Spotify
The way songs like “partner in crime, until I found you, enchanted” made me think about panels from ML (as dragon) first meet with MC and him softening up slowly then giving up everything just to stay by his side” Then songs like “the way I loved you, right where you left me, somewhere only we know, dancing with the ghost, Atlantis” made me wonder about how MC’s death been shocked him and how ML had been waiting for MC reincarnation for hundreds of years “alone” while losing himself and drowning himself in the past memories of them, suffering and grieving over his soulmate.
Then songs like “heather, a soulmate who wasn’t meant to be” reminds me of second lead, i mean he did also fall in love but his someone has already someone
