I totally agree!! The story isn't consistent. This situation started as coercion. Uke didn't have a choice and it became more complicated since they're boss-employee. And now that's he's been hurt emotionally and physically abused..suddenly the topic shifted to seme opening up deeply about his bdsm kink?? If I didn't read Chapter 37, I'd honestly think ML isn't too deep into SM play but now that he explained he has a background..why tf did he treat the MC into such a play without proper consent/mutual agreement and not thru coercion?? And even leading the play to abusive treatment?? Gosh.
You know what. In the novel, he came to the realization that he took it as abuse in a different way and that part isn’t in the Manwha so I think they tried to skip over it and it really made the story not flow well
So... The top literally didn't give a fuck about consent or communication at the beginning of the story and suddenly characters behave like they don't remember that. And for some reason they both behave as if the Sunday sex can't be avoided and has to be performed no matter what but like... Nobody is making you do it. It was an agreement between two people (if you can even call it an agreement, because it was more like abuse first few chapters), you can just stop. Like I can understand that the bottom is like "his my boss I have to do it" but the top? He is unhappy sexing the guy so why is he still sexing?
Don't get me wrong. I don't have a problem with the story being fucked up or about abusive partners or about difficulties in discovering bdsm as part of your relationship but please be consistent. You can't have him be an abusive asshole and then show exemplary communication skills and being like "let me teach you about safe bdsm" because the story is just all over the place.
I see potential here, I like parts of it, but the story as a whole just doesn't make sense to me.
