Hmm, still trying to figure out how I feel about this manga but it seems good so far.

I wonder if maybe the inspector feels as if he has some kind of responsibility towards the MC, the fact that they were both in hospital, they met and found a friend in each other..

Agreeing to be an inspector at her school, he probably wanted to see that she could make friends and enjoy her school life, and then he finds that she is one of the ghosts that he has to watch over. So, maybe he does have some feelings of romance, but I think that mostly his feelings towards her are just caring as he wants to protect her and watch over her.

Where Sean Choi is concerned, there is no doubt that he plays a part in MC's death but I think he didn't kill her. To say that he killed her might be that he feels guilty and responsible for her death and therefore he's blaming himself. Being with her again when she'd become a ghost, he's trying to make up for it: whilst hiding the fact that he had something to do with it, he's spending time with her and maybe thinking that he needs to atone for what had happened.
