no offense but the push and pull technique is used in a lengthier timeframe, not within the same 25 seconds. its supposed to be - 2 days you pull and 2 days later you push, rinse repeat. the author is trying to do all of that within the same breath and it wouldn't work on any person, even someone as dumb as the main character
