I don't believe senpai is a coward just because we havent seen him much in the chapter since I think that showing senpai will be against to what the author wants to show which is Haruki falling apart because I believe that the moment senpai is shown he will do something to save Haruki. Iirc, the reason they became friends is because senpai saw Haruki alone then started befriending him. He's the type who can't leave someone alone. Also, in the last chapter he was featured, upon realizing he is wrong, he apologized to the female worker and I see it as senpai being able to accept his mistakes. So my conclusion is, I'm waiting for Kashio-sensei to show us what senpai's up to. Being shown that senpai is finally connecting the dots then being gone in the story is weird and unfair to senpai as a character. That's all bye.
