True, it's kinda annoying ^^ But sometimes it becomes really interesting when the character suddenly says or shows that they don't believe a word of what they say. I really love when it happens because you feel like you can finally understand the character :)

Nah you're not the only one, I oftenly get annoyed too. But I've seen many of that to the point that I don't care much anymore. Still, a few of them actually have a good storyline though. But to think about it, it still is annoying. (▰˘◡˘▰)

ah i got that feel. but mostly their kindness make trouble more, so i often drop manga like that. i just can't take too much irritation in my heart for so much chapter.

Not at all! I personally have the same problem where I can't really like the "nice" MCs. In those stories, the author also often leaves out the character flaws that make the MC relatable and understandable. It's especially unrealistic if he/she goes through difficult or horrible events and does not become any less pure/sweet. We tend to like imperfect characters better because they reflect real world people. At least that's what I think, but that might just be me.

Haha me too. I always look at the plot. If the plot is what makes the mc look more annoying then I just drop it.

that kinda character always get on my nerves whether it was a manga or drama. it annoys me too death everytime especially the pure and naive angel like character, cause naivety and stupidity its almost the same. I watch a lot of drama and read too many manga where the MC always so awfully kind so easily forgiving after all the wrongdoing done to her, they never even got angry, for god sake that too good to be true, if you watch bollywood drama you know what I mean. thats why american tv show more appealing to me, they know how to defend themselves, how to fight back, not just smile like an idiot when they been treated like shit.

So a mary sue? I don't like 'em too but there are some exceptions. What I don't *really* like (bordering hate) are those 'tsundere' characters. They annoy the hell out of me.
