So Jesse, as we saw in flashback chapter, banished Law from his household, his mom agreed to it. Then Jesse stopped the Moritat Project all together, announced the media about it, because Law, the one behind the idea of Moritat has gone.

But without Jesse knowing Law still did the Project all by himself, and recruited the blonde hair maid to help him in his research. And when Law thought he was ready, he went to meet Jesse at Jesse's school, invited Jesse for a cup of tea (as we saw on the last chapter), and sedated Jesse so he fell asleep. Then took Jesse to his mansion, and put Jesse and himself on Moritat.

Then began chapter 1. And as we read further, we found out Law experimented on Jesse (in Moritat) countless time, until Law himself said he felt like he had been on Moritat with Jesse for 20 years (even though in reality, the experiment only went for one day, holy crap - this explained by the blonde hair maid telling Jesse he came to Law's mansion yesterday after he drank a cup of tea). We saw Law burned his palm with cigarettes before, that's actually how Law differ reality and Moritat. If Law didnt feel pain, then he's in Moritat.

After countless time experimenting on Jesse, Jesse finally relied on Law, asking Law to jump from the balcony together. That's actually what Law wanted, the reason behind him starting Moritat, but surprisingly, after he got what we want in Moritat, Law stop the Moritat. Then we came to Jesse waking up from Moritat, talked a bit with Law (forgot what they talked about) and in the end Law let Jesse go.

After a while, Jesse hasnt met Law since the day he woke up from Moritat. Came back to his university, and one day he met the blonde girl again. Jesse found out Law still coming back to Moritat, and that actually angered Jesse. Jesse came back to Law's mansion with the realization that Law's actually scared of Jesse seeing Law on the same ground.

Probably, Law suffered from low self-esteem, in the flashback Law said his world is like a sand castle, he's constantly getting afraid of Jesse abandoning him. Law didn't realize Jesse actually like Law from long ago, since Jesse said Law is beautiful. Jesse probably knew about Law's problem, and thought he didnt want Law to suffer from it forever by being on Jesse's side. Hence the banishing Law from Brown household.

In the end, Law realized he's actually scared of his own wish. And Law didn't think his wish would ever come true in reality, that's why he's still continuing Moritat, so at least he can have Jesse even in virtual reality. But Jesse proved Law wrong, that Jesse actually love Law in reality. Even though they both suffer from their relationship ever since childhood, well they have hurt each other, but reality is a lot better.
