Uh sorry about this for get about it -_-; but to add on to what u said aswel he legit only wants her to obsess over him because unlike ever one else who claims to "like"(romantically) him, her feelings was genuine and he only now realizes that after losing her to someone else basically and not to mention its also because she reminds him of his dead mother i understand needing to cope but using ur mother who passed as an excuse to want cling to her or even vice versa is like..huh??? That still doesn't give you a right to treat someone else like that and expect to get away with it. And about the friend thing ,I feel like you are absolutely right, they would make such amazing genuine friends if given he chance but we know what's going to happen we know he is going down he mental hospital route.
