I've read the novel and ooo boy these two are literally soulmates. The story and the connection between them goes so deep and has so many layers. I'm not a fan of slow burns, but this has me obsessed (IT'S A VERY SLOW BURN, THEY DON'T KISS UNTIL CHAPTER 180) Now I can't read it without feeling sad and melancholic about everything that happens to them. Ever since J saved his life as a child, J wanted to raise him as a younger brother, even though, due to his injuries, he supposedly might never see or speak again. AND BEFORE HE LEAVES AND DISAPPEARS, HE MAKES HIM TOUCH HIS FACE AND PROMISES HE’LL COME BACK. Then, when Sayoung is kidnapped and experimented on, HE WAKES UP, BECOMES A HUNTER, AND BUYS THE LAND WHERE THE GRAND RIFT APPEARED SO THAT IF HE RETURNS, EVERYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF THERE WILL BE HIS. AND THEN THAT’S NOT EVEN THE WORST PART. IT TURNS OUT THERE ARE TIME TRAVEL LOOPS, AND THIS IS THEIR THIRD ROUND TRYING TO STOP THE APOCALYPSE, WHERE BOTH OF THEM GO BACK IN TIME. IN THE FIRST LOOP, J SLOWLY DIES WHILE FIGHTING FOR WHAT'S LEFT OF THE WORLD AFTER THE APOCALYPSE, BECAUSE THAT WAS HIS PENANCE FOR TURNING BACK TIME. AND IN THE SECOND LOOP, SAYOUNG'S SOUL LITERALLY WANDERS ALONE THROUGH THE DESTROYED WORLD AFTER THE APOCALYPSE FOR HUNDREDS THINKING ONLY OF HIS HYUNG AAAAA AAAA
