Same. Lol. It sounded like she panicked for getting called out and just made up a bunch of crap trying to justify on why she took it upon herself to decide for 2 adults whose choices has totally nothing to do with her. She overstepped.
It's not a justification but a personal observation, she is trying her best to hide her "abnormal" family dynamics from her peers, she knows how difficult it is to act everything is normal when reality is far different from it, so the moment she saw someone close to her doing something out of the norm she started projecting her ideology that everything that is different has to be erased or else the world will bite you down for it.Plus I think she couldn't digest the fact that her crush has a boyfriend she might be finding girls for him but she admires him quite a lot.
