I am so glad I found your comment lol. The way I could cry (not being serious of course) finally seeing someone share similar sentiments about this part of the story.
All I've seen are comments lambasting An for her actions and praising Muli for the way he handled the situation. An's insecurities, her family history and this being her first relationship is no wonder she's been so clumsy in the way she's shown up in this new relationship. This doesn't excuse the hurt she's caused Muli and he is valid in the hurt and insecurities this makes him feel, but it does feel like her faults are being held against her. She is learning to trust him and working on being a better partner but working through her issues takes time and theyre on a 3 month deadline . I preferred the story when it gave both characters the grace to experience and figure out their feelings while creating moments of connection and communication.
As I'm currently reading this, the story has been enjoyable up till now but this part definitely irked me.

Okay, I adore this work, be it story or character designs, and I decided to read it again. I forgot about this bit happening and it irked me before as well, but this time I need to vent a little.
Just got to the point where Yang MuLi is angry with Xun An for rushing after her friend. I understand Yang being upset for what happened, but I hate how he decided to treat Anan afterwards. He was all understanding of her situation, kept trying to make her see she can trust and depend on him and then he goes "I can't forgive you" and that he wants to break up, but actually won't because of the bit she said to her aunt....what???? I understand you're hurt for how she was treating you, but this isn't the way to do things, imo.. Had I been told I can't be forgiven, I'd most likely give up at that second, because I'd be worried the other person would be upset with me forever and what if they tried to rub it in my face every time things didn't go their way. Tell her you are upset, try to solve it. Yes, talk it out, but please don't try to manipulate the person I'm glad she got her things together and will try to change, but this is (I think and hopefully) the only thing I really dislike about this manhua.
And I'm gonna add, I absolutely adore Li BuYan and QingQing~
