He gains power cuz he wanna survive n the og mc was trash he abandoned him in the dungeon using him as a meat shield in order to escape I understand why he turned into heavenly demon he was abused abandoned by someone who later gets praised as a hero its just the world is unfair to him so I grew to like him quickly n in the new life since the regressor dies he can have an easier life but I think tht the reason he needs to get power is to b strong enough to resist the constellations if his lie were to ever b found out n to survive no matter the situation

Idk maybe bc I don't sympathize with the main character yet but I'm starting to see why he could turned out the way he did In the future. I didn't like how it started bc i don't like the fact he stumbled upon it lol it really annoyed me. He's definitely growing on me though, he's still very annoying tho and I don't hate the plot or anything but it did feel weird bc he didn't really have a good reason for gaining the power he did Og mc had a real reason, maybe that's whats bugging me but as I said Mc is growing on me
