I don't see the problem. I hate pubic hair. It's gross. I'd love a guy that didn't have any. My man has to be groomed. can't stand any hair on my body unless it's on my head.

I think it's a personal choice how much body hair one keeps. I totally wouldn't date someone who told me what to do with my own body. If I want to remove certain hair, I'll remove it. If not, I won't.

Japanese people generally don't mind pubic hair like Americans do. After all, it's a natural thing and is a sign of sexual maturity. On the other hand, they're often embarrassed or grossed out by armpit and leg hair. Even guys. Notice how little you see men wearing shorts or tank tops in the summer. x_x There are people who do, but they are much less frequent. The discrepancy is quite interesting.

I never understood why men relate machoness to hairness. But agreed, a man must be groomed. If he has lacking hair, it's not a problem as long as he looks good like that.

Agreed. Also there are hair in that place for one reason and it's to prevent bacterial or serious infections in that place.

Why machoness=hairiness? Easy: Excess hair growth is a sign of testosterone, an androgen (masculine hormone).

That is kinda awesome since my one part of my high school life is marked by a very hairy classmate talking about how macho he was while showing off his armpit hair which was so long that I had less hair on my head than he had on his pits! Even worse he smelled like B.O. and wet dog in dirty gym socks all the time.

Wish I was in Japan to avoid that guy, more so since he didn't give people personal space.

It's not totally true. Androgen regulates the hairness in both male and female, and high level of testosterone can influence the androgenetic alopecia (when a man has no hair)

I think we're both right and what I said doesn't conflict with what you said.

If you saw how much pubic hair my husband is packing, you'd tell him to trim it up too.
