Yeah but the problem sometimes with the shounen kind is the large age gap and the "romance" or lucky pervert scenes happens when the FL is still a minor. With the shoujo kind amongst those I've read so far the largest age gap between the older FL and younger ML is still a single digit number. And usually the romance happens after a time skip when younger ML is a grown accomplished man and both are equally attractive too.

I’m deciding to read this cause I read stuff where the mc is a girl who takes in a boy and trains them and then the boy comes back super handsome and in love with the mc before, so deciding not to read this would be showing my double standards lol. It’s actually not that bad and there hasn’t been any fan service so far so I’m actually enjoying it! I just kinda wish they made mc super handsome too or something lol— or at least shave his scruff so he doesn’t look as old compared to fl lol—
