Absolutely incorrect. Many medical institutions are woefully uniformed or outright antagonistic towards trans people and can't be trusted, so DIY should absolutely be done with ample research and medical SUPERVISION. I say this because under dosing and forcing social transportation with year + long waits are frequent which are designed to just chase away most people rather help in anyway
