Imo the author purposefully ruined his character to justify the endgame & to make ppl not root for him. But he could've been a somewhat nice guy like he was in the s1 with redeeming qualities & still Baram can reject him so idk why she ruined him.
Completely agree. I don’t mind him not being the ML. The actual ML and FL are cute together. But it would’ve been nice if seongjun could’ve stayed a friend. There were plenty of moments he helped FL and she appreciated that. The scene in the water was what stuck out to me.
IMO, I don’t think this author is good at writing romance. Just the fact that the FL’s thoughts were so hard to read when it came to romance was showing it’s not well written. Heck, I don’t even remember her showing romantic interest in anyone until the very last part where she chose the friendly dude. I would’ve preferred the author to show us scenes of her falling for him over time, rather than suddenly being like “let’s date! I’ve liked you all along!” And then it felt like FL’s hatred for seongjun came out of nowhere. That part where seongjun and the ML got into a fight on the field but FL took the ML’s side even though the ML was actually in the wrong that time?? Yet FL can be all friendly and nice with her bully??
TBH, I feel like the author ruined Seongjun's character. I'm currently on chapter 76, and at least in my opinion, it doesn't make sense for him to act like that towards Baram?? Like, he's a smart guy, so I find it confusing for him to be oblivious to how forward he's acting towards Baram is making her feel. It's like they made him disregard her feelings just because he likes her, which is odd because he was so quick to catch onto her discomfort in previous situations before. I loved his character at first since it seems like they were getting to be good friends after clearing up the misunderstanding, but now it just feels like the author went backwards..?
I just feel as if he's not the type of person to force someone to like him. I skipped to the afterward prior to writing this comment part of my comment... He isn't supposed to be villian according to the author. However, the way his character is written after he and Baram clear up the misunderstanding and onwards is just... not it. Still going to finish the manhwa. I'm just disappointed about how his character is developing towards the end. He's acting like a total jerk. ( ＴДＴ)
