We can all agree that Sangwoo is psychologically damaged. But consider the following. Sangwoo telling Bum about his parents, taking him were his parents took him, and giving Bum the opportunity of murder as a present (or her body for sex as a present) can actually be seen not only as symptoms but as self reflection. Sangwoo is like a blinded and deeply psychologically damaged monster reflecting on itself. There is nothing else he can do than damage others and enjoying it in his perverse mind - but I think he is now realizing himself to some degree, because of the encounter with another person (because he usually would just get rid of them). Every extreme emotion towards Bum could be seen as a reaction to his self-reflection. Especially anger and frustration. And another interesting thing is how extreme he reacts to blood. And his halluzination (the man on the road - his father?) He is just an interesting case on a psychological level. Because Sangwoos brain basically works entirely different than it should. I'm not saying that Bum can "cure" him. At some point, even self-reflection fails. I don't think anything could cure Sangwoos psychological damage. And at this point, not even Bum would be able to handle this trauma. Ps. In psychological studies it's sometimes said that children (unconsciously!) see their parents relationship as a goal for their own future relationship.
