I love how everyone’s freaking out over the last line LOL But remember how Akira is a child of a loveless marriage? His parents didn’t get along, and stayed together for their children so he’s traumatized and doesn’t wanna end up like that. He saw how unhappy their lives had been. That’s why he had issues with promises of forever. He think making commitment means he can’t break it if things go south and it’d make both of em suffer more. He’ll heal eventually… or not. It doesn’t matter as long as they’re both satisfied.
