For me, NaruSasu was the first gay couple I shipped. I used to have a vague, almost tentative liking for yaoi, but never had the courage to take a step further and actually read something. And then I came across this fanfiction. AND I BEGAN SHIPPING THEM SO HARD. Honestly, initially, before I stumbled across NaruSasu, I never really thought much about the blatant emotional and homoerotic scene between the two. I joked about it, but never viewed them with fujoshi eyes. That fic changed everything. I mean, JUST LOOK. LOOK AT THE PURE LOVE BETWEEN THEM. THE PAIN. THE TORTURE. THE DESIRE TO BE WITH EACH OTHER. THE BOND. JUST. JUST THE BEAUTY. I began shifting away from Naruto quite a long time back, more so after ch 700 happened. I'd been hoping for a platonic end rather than people getting married. But whatever. THAT PAGE IS LITERALLY FROM THE FRICKIN MANGA. KISHIMOTO DREW THAT. NARUTO AND SASUKE WITH THE IMAGE OF EACH OTHER ON THEIR NECKLACES. I had to go back and read the last few chapters of Naruto, with the yin and yang and the feels and the bond and the tears and the love and the desperation and raw emotions of love and admiration and jealousy and trust and the feeling of BELONGING and wanting to be with the other AND EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM IS SO PERFECT WHY ISN'T NARUSASU CANON ╥﹏╥ I LOVE THEM SO MUCH I'M ABOUT TO HYPERVENTILATE. Understandably, viewing images of those delicate and fragile moments between the two in Google didn't calm my heart down at all. I'm searching for post chapter 698/699 NaruSasu fanfictions, but I haven't come across many. Why is there suddenly such a lack of NaruSasu fanfictions? Its a surprise, especially given how popular the ship once was (is?) and the fact that Naruto ended only a few years ago (but is still continuing, I guess). And the sheer number of NaruSasu fanfics that used to be posted each day. Is it because SasuSaku and NaruHina became canon or did people move on from such a wonderful relationship? But whatever, I want to hear you guys' stories. Your first gay ship/ any gay ship you used to/still are obsessing over like a lunatic? :)
