To clarify, Bada is actually a NPC and is the only NPC. Everyone else are actual players but chose to become NPCs bc they couldn’t do it anymore except for Seongchan and Doha. once it was only the two of them, they made Bada join and Bada started creating his own identity along the way.
I’m pretty sure Bada is actually Seongchan’s cousin and he was apart of the trip. They didn’t just randomly pick him up, but his role as an npc was to always warn them that this is how every horror movie starts in the prologue bc his character is like a horror fanatic/gamer which is why they give him a tape once Doha realizes this. When Doha killed the villager, he didn’t have any memories and was actually a NPC but we don’t know what made Doha kill the villager yet but Seongchan prob told the villager to do something to Doha which made him kill them. Doha’s character in general is supposed to be smart and quick even as an NPC. When he saved his game, he did do it with a new tape which is why his memories seemed reset but remember how Doha said he took out Bada’s tape? During this time, Doha prob played by himself, found his original tape, and then put Bada’s tape back in.
About Yeongtak, for the play-through where he stopped his own tape, Bada was still only a NPC then and didn’t have a tape yet. Then, when Seongchan started Yeongtak’s second tape, Bada already had his tape in which is why that Yeongtak doesn’t know that Bada is a NPC until he gets back his 1st tape’s memories.

So Seongchan said that he tried to stop Doha's tape by distracting him with the villager right (the first chapter). So that means, Doha still had his memories until that moment. Then, the timeline is:
1) 5 player played together
2) 2 decided to act like NPC, leaving Doha, Seongchan, and Yongtaek playing --> Doha was in charge for the mountain hut, Seongchan for the abandoned house, and Yongtaek for the abandoned mine
3) They finished their map --> Yongtaek stopped his own tape, leaving only Doha and Seongchan.
4) They invited Bada to play
5) Seongchan play a new tape for Yongtaek and played with him (new memories, i assume. Because his tape in mountain shelter is different with his tape in the abandoned mine) and Bada. But during this time, Doha was already an NPC (Based on Yongtaek's explanation)
6). Then they played the lodge map?? Based on Seongchan's explanation in the last chapter, he tried to stop Doha's tape during this map. So that means, until the session where Bada saw Doha kill the villager, Doha still had his memories right? After that, Doha inserted new tape from the abandoned house and made new memories.
This is where i get confused. Based on Seongchan's explanation, which map they played first, the abandoned shelter with Yongtaek, or the lodge?
I assume they played the abandoned shelter first because during the time Bada play in the lodge, he said the abandoned shelter was not playable (the map become unplayable when they finish the map). But then, from the latest chapter, we know that Doha's memories stopped after the session where he killed the villager?? That's why i'm confused. Maybe because we only know the story timeline through Bada's memories.
And then, regarding Bada and Seongchan's relationship. I don't know why, i just assume they met Bada during their journey to the lodge when i first read the chapter, lol.
Because in the webtoon, when Seongchan explained how Bada came into the game, he stood outside the car beside Doha's (driver) seat (I hope you understand my explanation. I wish i could insert picture here T.T). So tunnel scene --> during their way, they met bada --> they invite him. Lol. But as you said, Bada could be apart of the trip from the start.

Ok wait i have questions.
So until Bada saw Doha attacking a villager, Doha still has his memories right? So that means, when Seongchan, Bada, and Yongtaek was playing together, Doha still has his memories and act like an NPC?
Why does Doha's memories got reset? Is it because he insert a new tape? Seongchan only stop his tape right? So that means Doha's original tape is still there somewhere.
Bada's opening starts from when he wakes up in the car, while others starts from inside the tunnel. Bada got into the car after he warned others about the danger. So... does that mean before he woke up, he still acted like an NPC? During the time when Yongtaek got his previous memories back of playing with Bada and Seongchan (not before he stopped his tape), he saw Bada acting like an NPC? Like, why he did not say anything about that to bada? Also, Bada was introduced as Seongchan's cousing right? How does Seongchan and Doha convinced others that? Like, they first met bada on the street on their way to the lodge right? Seongchan invited Bada into the car, after Bada warned them about the danger ahead, and introduced him as his cousin after that??????
