paula is endgame :) iirc it's one sided on the fiancee's part, vincent only sees her as a friend/family. their marriage gets broken off after fiancee's dad finds out about his blindness and she gets married to someone else.
it's just a lot of circling around with paula and vincent, but they get their happy ending:D
