To be honest, I haven’t read the manga. However, I did watch the anime and It’s SO. GOOD. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you watch it first!
dungeon meshi is a very high bar
people say frieren anime > manga because manga pacing is slow and stilted, whereas the anime adds more fluidity
I... wouldn't put too many expectations on frieren to be completely honest, ESPECIALLY if you're trying to find something on the same level as dungeon meshi

I'm thinking of starting Frieren, but I'm still hesitant in what form to watch it, is the manga worth it ?
To date the only story worth reading for me has been Dungeon Meshoi, I'm afraid I'll be disappointed
