Literally my biggest pet peeve in stories and this one isn’t even the biggest offender becuz it makes sense to the story - but I still ain’t like it.
To me a bigger offender is when their romantic interest is in the picture, they have feelings, and they go and sleep with someone else. I can let the past go, but man it so right.
there's just something that rubs me the wrong way when authors include in depth or passionate sex scenes with partners that aren't the main love interest... like i get that there's history and past love, but if i'm trying to root for the main characters together, i hate seeing them love or be intimate with others
