I think 4 and 5 are just more aware of being an individual than a part of Owen. I think them being disrespectful to him is them trying to establish their own being. But they need to know their place honestly. I would be scared if one of them did something unforgivable just to prove they are different from og Owen. Plus 5 is too forceful fuck him hmph
I agree!! I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to establish a sense of individuality esp since they really do have their own personas to an extent,,, it just bothers me how they sometimes try to hog Nux to themselves BUT then again, handkerchief Owen and Asperier are both similar in that case that they want to monopolize Nux’s love for themselves... Now that I think about it,, handkerchief Owen is probably the embodiment of Asperier’s jealousy. Ig it's just a matter of respecting boundaries same way how Golden king and Lord of Sorrow still have respect towards Asperier as the core whilst also yearning for Nux’s affection. I love handkerchief Owen and Asperier equally but maybe it's because I empathize more with Asperier as the core mind and body which is why I'm really biased with the ranking Also, military Owen is literally just there to serve as comedic relief and pleasure to the eyes, ig HSHSHS— I don't really mind his presence despite the horrid kidnapping that he did but then again I've read stories with a much worse character than him...
AAAA I pulled an all-nighter to read this,,, ngl there are times where I feel a pang of pain in my heart everytime Nux shows attention to the other Owens aside from the main one (Asperier) but it's understandable since they are basically all the same being but just with different personalities,,, nevertheless I love Nux and his relationships with them as a family ‘cause it honestly felt like he accepts everything about Asperier no matter what form or persona a.k.a the four other Owens. It doesn't change the fact that Asperier is the core and also the target of Nux’s deep unconditional love (it's not to say he loves the other any less but rather that there is a distinction) ,,, anyways, I have my own personal ranking of my fave Owens:
1. Asperier (the Core)
2. Golden King
3. Lord of Sorrow
4. Owen (w/ handkerchief)
5. Military Owen
4th & 5th can be interchangeable since I personally find them really invasive or rather disrespectful towards Asperier as the core sometimes,,, tho I still love them nonetheless. I hope that Asperier will feel secure with his relationship with Nux and his feelings for him whilst also accepting the fact that he can't really get rid of his other selves and rather accept them as part of him and his family,,, we love a healthy polymongamy
