oh cmon, you'll surely understand karlyle's perspective if you've been reading this since the start.. lyle cant really start nor continue some serious communication.. he overthinks stuff, just like the time where the friends are going into their house, he overthinks the friends thought about him, or him and ash being together.. it's hard for him to fully say out-loud his inner feelings, cuz he's scared of what's the other party gonna say. he's the quite introverter type of guy..

Those “friends” are so toxic, like going to someone’s housewarming party and talking behind their backs, bringing up the ex and trying to get them back in contact like wtf. Ash needs some new friends asap. Karlyle also needs to speak up, Ash has been asking him like please tell me what’s going on a hundred times and he doesn’t wanna say anything.
