I think it’s because it just feels too real and probably hits close to home. In reality, at least for me…I’m the same as fl which is why I don’t love her. Sometimes we don’t like what we see because we see ourselves in them.
Dang people hating on the female lead *so hard*, ngl feels a little misogynistic. So she’s messy and flawed, she’s been through a lot of crap and she’s traumatized and doesn’t want to take advantage of someone she obviously cares very deeply about, struggling with her own self-worth, family issues & past mistakes…. I’ll just assume y’all are young to relate and too caught up on lusting after the “pure-hearted innocent” ML to understand how nuanced and complex Sooyi’s character is. She’s honestly amazing for this kind of story, it’s so well written and really makes your heart race.
There are plenty of goofy no-plot smut titles out there with weak female leads with no flaws or personality for y’all to read.
