Hmm, I can’t say she’s not the original Agnes because the goddess said she would bring her consciousness forward when she was reincarnated at the start of the novel. That means the MC has been Agnes since birth, but she initially had no memories of her past life in Korea.
Forgot which ch, but Agnes herself said that she's a different person. Or at the very least feels like she is. And it's clear in her behaviour, she doesn't treat herself as the princess. Suppose even IF the goddess just brought out her consciousness instead of simply summoning her into the body, it then becomes a spiritual/philosophical debate of what makes you "you", given that souls are metaphysical concepts.
A line from a study once asked, if "my grandma was reset to zero, and had no memories of me, and has a different personality and interest and behaviour, is she then still my grandma" (rhetorical).
Regardless, the Agnes that loved him is effectively dead, when the new personality took over.
